The Elizabethtown Ice Hockey Club is celebrating its 16th year and has been able to field a highly competitive hockey team at the varsity level for most of those seasons, having routinely made the playoffs during that time. The Bears hope to build on their success from last year, in which they captured the Viola Cup with their returning players.
The Bears will be under the leadership of Head Coach Dave Dolan who has been with the program for eleven years. The bears return a veteran group which includes last year’s goaltender and 4 of their top 5 scorers.
The Bears blue line will be lead by Juniors JT Drescher, Austin Farwell, and Mitchell Bashore.
The forwards will be lead by Juniors Brady Dolan, Tyler Christian, Senior CC Davis and Sophomore Cassidy Galeone. Returning this year are sophomores John Dellalo, Joe Weidman and Marshall Miller who are expected to contribute to the success of this years team. The Bears will have newcomers of Juniors Matt Haldeman, Lowen Wachaus and Freshman Andrew Bishop who will add depth to this year’s team.
The goaltending will be in the capable hands of Senior Joe Dempsey.
The Bears are once again excited to continue their tradition and compete for the first time at the Tier one level.
